What to bring to your first coaching conversation

Your first conversation is an opportunity to work out whether the coaching fits. There is no need to arrive with a detailed programme or a particular fitness level.

Describe the change you want

Use your own words. You may want a regular strength routine, more confidence in the gym or a schedule you can actually maintain. Explain why it matters and what has made it difficult so far.

Bring a realistic view of your week

Think about work hours, travel and the session times you can usually protect. If you are enquiring about Duo or Trio, check the other members’ schedules as well.

Know your training location

Have your area and building name ready. If possible, check whether your building allows an external personal trainer and what equipment the gym has. We will still confirm access and suitability before you begin.

Ask what happens next

Ask about the coaching format, support, review process, pricing and booking rules. You should understand the written terms before payment. Share relevant health limitations privately with your coach rather than entering detailed medical information in the website form.

Talk about your goals
